I'm back...hopefully! Besides working like crazy these past few weeks, I also had to go to New Jersey so Elayna could audition for S.M.Entertainments Youth Star Global Audition as a dancer and celebrated Kyrie birthday. So it's been a lot of driving and cooking! Kyrie wanted a sandwich cake called Smorgasta It was sooo yummy! I also made pink lemonade bars. The girls and I have planned a "create" day, something new this year that I am hoping to make an annual thing. We are going to hang out in our pjs, watch Studio Ghibli movies, eat soup and drink tea and "create" things. We went shopping the other day for supplies. It'll be difficult to organize our schedules so that we're all free the same day but I'm so excited to do it! I can't wait to show you everything we make. My baby turns 16 at the end of this month and when that is over and school has started, I can concentrate on making more yarn and working on some Christmas gifts. I'm hoping that I can avoid what happened last year, which basically speaking was a failure on my part. I bit off more than I could chew and started too late. It was a classic fail. This year I'm not making any projects that are too involved. Just some simple personal gifts. So far I've purchased everything I need but I did get caught up in the clearance section of the yarn store today and of course spent way more than I planned on. I've been working so much this year that whenever I do get to go to the yarn store I'm mesmerized. It's the same way with my spinning wheel. I walk by it, touch it, smell the fleece waiting to be spun and have to shake myself out of it because I just have to keep moving on to other things. Sorry fleece you'll have to wait.
