August was not the most pleasant month for me and I am soooo happy that its September. I hesitate to say that I'm glad its over because that may just be asking for more trouble than I can deal with. Truthfully. To begin with August is generally my most busy month due to the fact that both my girl's birthdays are in August and school starts then too. You would think that I would be prepared for this well.... this time August also delivered me with a blast of caustic cleaning chemicals in my eye at work which took me straight to the ER. I did get a sweet chauffeured ride home in a town car and a return one to pick my car up days later when I regained some of my vision back. That sweet episode was delivered to me 3 days before a scheduled oral surgery to remove a failed root canal and have a bone graft. So I was half blind in one eye and missing a few teeth, eating applesauce... I was a real picture of loveliness!
But August wasn't done with me for the very next week my landlords gave me notice to move out. They were nice about it and gave us til the end of the school year but of course if we found another place sooner that would be good too. Then we had senior pictures to get taken, my pocket book was already empty due to all of the previous dealings of the month yet it had to be done.
But wait...August still had more for me, and on the day before Elayna's birthday, the night of the 30th to be exact, I made my second trip to the ER with Elayna. She sprained her ankle in the first volleyball scrimmage. All that and the final punch with me re injuring my back somehow. Whew!
